As expected, blackra1n RC2, the updated version with bug fixes of the latest iPhone OS 3.1.2 jailbreak tool by George Hotz has been released. Along with fixing jailbreak issues, it also brings support for a tethered jailbreak for iPod Touch 8GB and new iPhone 3GS’es. Important: iPhone OS 3.1.3 has been released for the iPhone and iPod Touch. We’ve got a new guide up on how to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 and iPod Touch 3.1.3 with redsn0w 0.9.4. Don’t upgrade to iPhone OS 3.1.3 if you’re using an unlocked iPhone 3G/3Gs or a jailbroken iPod Touch 2G (MC Model)/3G. I just wanna know if the itunes has to be 8.0 or 8.2??? because when i try to connect my ipod touch with the itunes in version 8.1.1 it keeps saying that i have to download itunes 8.2 from its website in order for me to use. in other words, it says:
the ipod “… ” cannot be used because it requieres Itunes version 8.2 or later. Go to http://www.itunes.com to download the latest version of itunes.
PS: my ipod touch is 8gb dont know if it’s 2g or 3g and begins with MC model!!!!

my problem is i stick in the usp and ipod then i click make it rain, it registers device then it goes to entering recovery mode but nothing comes up on my ipod it says charging and on my computer it just says entering recovery mode, i have tried many things and nothing can get me passed please help, my brother did it and i was with him but his had no problems.

Hey, ive just run this blackra1n on my ipod touch 8gb 3rd Gen 3.1.2 because it says the Tethered issues have been fixed, but ive run it, and i still cant turn off, or reboot my ipod without it going into recovery mode,
so i thought never mind, il restore it back to normal, but it wont let me.. every time i restore, it goes into recovery and asks me to restore the ipod again.. is anyone able to help? what should i do.
can someone please tell me why i cannot reboot my ipod touch 32gb after using blackra1n???
it is always telling me to go to recovery mode. i have tried re-running blackra1n & it does work but it doesnt allow me to reboot my ipod without showing up the “recovery mode”
if you reboot you must re-jailbreak. and by that i mean click on the make it rain button using blackra1n everytime you turn it on again. I basically never turn mine off and it works fine jailbroken.
I’v had a lot of problems with mine Blackra1n seemed to work for my 3.1.2 ipod but then there was a pic that said connect to itunes and then it keeps saying in recovery mode please restore before you can use this ipod and iv restored it many times my friend did it fine but its not working for me please help im reluctant to try it again in fear of having to restore it again or worse crash my ipod please help email me at firstbostonfan@yahoo.com
Okay to all you ipod touch 3G users, if the wheel below the picture spins for a while and goes into recovery mode, hold down BOTH the home button and the power button at the same time for a while, it’ll reboot and it SHOULD work out fine after a couple tries of doing that. I had the same problem and accidentally restored my ipod to factory settings. Didn’t need to be done. If you hold down those buttons at the same time things SHOULD work out for you.
all steps are done but after reboot i cant find the application black in my iphone to install cydia FW 3.1.2 and itunes 9.0.2.25 iphone 3G 8giga, help me plz
Try jailbreaking again if you can’t find the blackra1n app.
Jail broke my iPod today, UNLEASHED the beast! Completely awesome! Is the only way I can describe it….was always worried about screwing it up, but to now see what this thing is REALLY capable of is……just amazing

Worked great. Didn’t know how long it was going to take to reboot so i was worried but my itouch works amazing.
It just comes up with the “Enjoy your jailbroken iPhone” and a black screen on my ipod–when i hold power for a few seconds it starts my ipod but theres no blackra1n app…wat do??

i have a question. I jailbroke my ipod a while ago them when the battery completely died i restored my ipod because then after i restored it noe of my apps work like youtube, app store, itunes etc can anyone tell me why

i downloaded blackrain did everything but when its done after i run it my ipod just stays at a black screen and doesnt reboot but i just hold home and power button and it reboots but there is no black rain app and ive tried numerous of times help???????
i had everything installed to my i-pod then it made me restore it ; now when i try to put it again it brongs me to itunes and says i have to restore my i-pod ! why isnt it letting me program it again ?
