One user wrote on the Apple Communities page:
I had an iPhone 12 with iOS 15, everything was working fine and dandy.I upgraded to iPhone 13 and now music does not play using CarPlay when I am using either Spotify or Apple Music.
I have a 2018 Audi and I use lighting to connect to CarPlay. When I click on a song either using Spotify or Apple Music my CarPlay app shuts down.
CarPlay works and does not shut down when I use Google maps or Apple podcasts. But as soon as I click on a song Apple CarPlay just shuts down.

The shared solutions on the Apple Communities page show that different fixes are working for different people. If you are affected by the same issue try the following solutions:
- Turn off Equalizer via Settings app > Music > EQ and disable the feature.
- Delete the Apple Music app and reinstall it.
So far on iOS 15, AirPod Pro owners are unable to turn off the Active Noise Cancellation feature via Siri, iPhone 13 users can not use the ‘unlock iPhone with Apple watch’ feature, a bug is deleting photos saved from iMessage threads after users delete the chats, are experiencing an intermittent touch issue on iPhones which affect the screen’s touch sensitivity which does not respond even after several taps, and are shown an ‘iPhone storage full’ error when the smartphone has free storage space.
