Download AirPlayer To Enable AirPlay From iPhone / iPad To Mac [Video]

Erica Sadun, the same developer who brought us AirVideoEnabler to enable AirPlay in 3rd party apps has just released AirPlayer, a custom Bonjour AirPlay service which allows you to stream video from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with AirPlay to your Mac OS system exactly like you would do to your Apple TV. This is perfect especially if someone owns an iMac or Cinema Display as a TV.

AirPlayer simply makes use of Apple’s native Bonjour networking solution pretending to be an Apple TV and allows AirPlay to your Mac seamlessly over local WiFi. The best part is, you do not even need a jailbroken iDevice to run this hack since AirPlayer is installed on your Mac OS X and not your iOS device itself. However, if you do have a jailbroken device with AirVideoEnabler installed, you’ll have a lot more applications to stream video from.

You can download an ad-supported alpha version of AirPlayer For Mac via official link below. Meanwhile, watch the AirPlayer in action in the following video:
