It has been almost a year since the discordant finale of Game of Thrones aired, with eight long seasons and millions of fans worldwide. Amidst the present rumors about the prequel being in the making, the new video game adaptation for Game of Thrones by Behavioral Interactive is now available on iPhone and iPad. The game has successfully turned the world Beyond the Wall into a strategic turn-based battle RPG with squad-based battle systems. It has an overall weight of around 1.4GB and has a minimum requirement of iOS 9.0 for the game format to be supported. The Android version for the game will be released on April 4th, 2020.
As the name suggests, the game is based on the life of characters Beyond the Wall in the North, a place which the white walkers and wildlings call their ‘Home.’ The story taking place 48 years before the events on the show, the Lord Commander Brynden Rivers, also known as Bloodraven, disappears beyond the Wall. The story begins as you take over the command of the Night’s Watch.
As you take over your new duties, you will be asked to recruit members for the Night’s Watch and collecting costumes of known characters in the show. You will be required to master the tactical abilities of each character in PvP combats and learn new skills along the way. Some of these characters include Jon Snow, Jamie Lannister, Melisandre, Tormund, and Daenerys, etc.
The game explores many activities for your character and enables you to unlock new traits and tactics by sending Ravens far and wide. Your latest responsibility as leader of the Night’s Watch will be to command the rangers as well as defend the Wall from wildling attacks. Some of the quests include leading custom expeditions beyond the Wall into the unexplored areas, the lands of always winter. Learn the secrets of the haunted forest as you explore more on your way up in the game.
You will also be able to experience and learn about the past of the Three-Eyed Raven and all the other dark mysteries that are hidden beyond the Wall, separated from Westeros by the Giant Ice Structure. Meet the first ranger Alvar Spyre and the wood witch Mayla as you progress into the game and uncover the full story. Recruit men from Kings Landing, Dorne, and the free cities, for protecting the Wall from what lies beyond it.
The game enables fans to explore R.R. Martin’s world with the perspective of a member of the night’s watch. It allows the user to have an unfamiliar experience filled with new things to explore. For now, you shall live and die at your post, pledging your honor to the Night’s Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.
