GeForce NOW expands to Apple Vision Pro with over 2,000 games

NVIDIA is bringing its GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform to Apple’s Vision Pro, signaling a major step forward for gaming on Apple’s spatial computing device.

GeForce NOW Vision Pro

This collaboration, announced during CES 2025, will enable Vision Pro users to stream over 2,100 supported titles, including AAA games like Avowed and DOOM: The Dark Ages, directly through Safari. The rollout is tied to the GeForce NOW app version 2.0.70, set to launch later this month. From the company’s press release:

In collaboration with Apple, Meta and ByteDance, NVIDIA is expanding GeForce NOW cloud gaming to Apple Vision Pro spatial computers, Meta Quest 3 and 3S and Pico virtual- and mixed-reality devices — with all the bells and whistles of NVIDIA technologies, including ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS.

Unlike previous iterations on Apple platforms that required Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), Vision Pro users will access the service via the browser at play.geforcenow.com, eliminating additional setup steps. This optimization for Safari on visionOS ensures a streamlined experience, offering NVIDIA’s advanced RTX technologies, including ray tracing and DLSS, for unparalleled visual fidelity. The platform supports gamepad-compatible titles, transforming the Vision Pro into a personal gaming theater with a simulated 100-foot screen.

NVIDIA’s expansion isn’t limited to the Vision Pro. GeForce NOW is also launching on other mixed-reality headsets, such as Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, and Pico devices. This cross-platform approach highlights NVIDIA’s commitment to making high-quality gaming experiences accessible across diverse devices. For Vision Pro users, this marks a pivotal enhancement, as the device’s gaming capabilities have largely been limited to Apple Arcade and compatible iPhone or iPad games.

GeForce NOW offers various subscription tiers, including a free, ad-supported option for entry-level users and paid Performance and Ultimate tiers that provide benefits like extended session lengths, priority queuing, and access to better-equipped rigs. With this addition, Vision Pro owners can expect a gaming experience that leverages the best of NVIDIA’s cloud technologies, potentially making the device a more compelling choice for gaming enthusiasts.
