Google’s Android event may have been canceled by Hurricane Sandy, but that didn’t stop the search engine giant from unveiling its new Nexus devices. Along with an announcement of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Nexus 4, new Nexus 7 models, Google has officially unveiled the Nexus 10 tablet too.
Design and Features
The Samsung manufactured Nexus 10 tablet features a 10.05-inch Gorilla Glass 2 display with 16:10 aspect ratio display having an impressive resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (300ppi) beating even Apple’s iPad Retina display which has a 2048 x 1536 resolution. To power this impressive display, Nexus 10 is packed with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A15 and quad-core Mali t604 GPU to get the most out of your tablet when watching HD videos or playing games.
Nexus 10 has a 5 Mega-Pixel rear camera and a 1.9 Mega-Pixel front camera. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi and stereo speakers. The tablets only weigh 604 grams and is 8.9 mm thick. Standard connectivity features include microHDMI port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microUSB port.
Nexus 10 comes with a powerful 9,000 mAh battery which will get you up to 9 hours of HD video playback and more than 500 hours of standby time. Nexus 10 will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which includes multiple user support so you can add multiple users and switch between them instantly right from the lock screen.
Nexus 10 will be available in two models: 16 GB and 32 GB and both are Wi-Fi only models.
Price and Availability
16 GB model of Nexus 10 will cost $399 while 32 GB Model will be available for $499. Nexus 10 will be available from 13th of November in selected countries which include US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Australia. You can order it here.
