Updated YouTube app on Apple TV has a redesigned layout and darker theme
Unlike the previous version, the updated YouTube app on Apple TV shows more categories in the side menu which includes games, music, movies, news, and originals. The thumbnails are slightly changed with rounded edges and a white border appears on the selected video which makes it more visible. The background is darker than the older grey background, which makes the icons and text on the screen stand out more.

The company released an Apple Watch app for YouTube Music that offers basic playback controls like play/pause, skip to next or previous tracks, cast, and like songs and allows browsing music from the user’s phone. “With a global community of two billion people on YouTube, we’re always looking for ways to make it easier to watch and interact with your favorite videos.”
The update is rolling out gradually and the app might update automatically. If it does not, users can manually install the latest version on their box by navigating to Settings > System > Software Update and then click on Update Software.
