As an advanced version of Android TV, the search engine giant launched Google TV in 2020. As a new OS for smart TV sets, and its own latest Chromecast dongle, Google TV offers movies, shows, live TV, and more from third-party apps or streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and others.
In 2021, it was discovered that Google TV was preparing to launch its own 50 live TV to offer free and ad-support streaming content. Now, 9to5Google has the first look at the 34 channels included in the list.

As per the report, the latest version of the Android TV launcher app contains the text that shows Google TV will start live TV with 50 channels which will not require a subscription (meaning they will be free), sign-up, or download.

Currently, users have to download an app to view option options on the service. Here is a first look list of 34 out of 50 channels expected to be available soon.

In addition, the publisher makes it clear that it decompiled the latest version of an app that Google uploaded to the Play Store which revealed various lines of code that hint at “possible future features”. Therefore, it is likely that Google may or may not release the discovered features in future updates.
Google TV is available on Chromecast, Smart TV from Hisense, Sony, and TCL, and on iOS and Android mobile devices.
