New HomePod mini – Leaked Details
Blass shared images of the new smaller speaker by Apple on the website, app.voice.com. The new HomePod mini speaker has a spherical exterior with a holographic lid. The speaker will be available in black and white color options, just like the HomePod models. To set the two products apart, Apple has adopted a completely new design for the upcoming economical mini speaker.
A report by another leaker, Jon Prosser states that the new HomePod mini would be 3.3-inch in size, powered by an S5 processor, and retail for $99. Using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) capabilities, it will be able to track user’s in-house locations for more prompt responses as soon as they step inside their residence.
Users will also be able to use the device to access media controls, brightness/volume control, & door locks. This functionality will allow it to control HomeKit devices. Prosser also mentioned that the new HomePod mini would be equipped with AR support in the Find My app.
As the new virtual event is expected to be centered around the new iPhone 12 launch, Blass shared alleged images of the entire series revealing the colors and design of the smartphones. In addition, the Cupertino tech giant is expected to launch AirPods Studio and AirTags at today’s event.
