The HomePod mini will soon be available in additional countries

Earlier this year in January, it was reported that Apple’s HomePod mini would be launched in Finland, Norway, and Sweden before the end of 2022. Apple today confirmed the launch of its Bluetooth speaker in the above-mentioned countries. The Bluetooth speaker will be priced at 1,249 Norwegian Krone/Swedish Krone and 109 euros.

Launched in 2020, the compact smart speaker offers advanced technology for a fraction of the price of its predecessor. With a price tag of $99, Apple’s HomePod mini is powered by an S5 chip that offers rich acoustic sound powered by computational audio and advanced software. The smart speaker pairs seamlessly with iPhone and features native Siri support which is private and secure.

With multiple HomePod mini speakers, users can even play the same music throughout the house, a different song in every room, or create a stereo pair for an even more immersive experience.

The speaker is available in five colorways: white, space gray, yellow, orange, and blue. It also comes with a woven power cable and a 20W USB-C power adapter in the box.

HomePod mini is compatible with iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or later, or iPod touch (7th generation) running the latest iOS update; or iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad Air 2 or later, or iPad mini 4 or later running the latest iOS update.

With its recent expansion to four new countries, the HomePod mini is officially available in a total of 24 countries including Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Austria, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

In related news, Apple is reportedly working on a new HomePod mini. References to an unreleased HomePod model were discovered in the first beta of iOS 16. The unreleased HomePod is internally codenamed “AudioAccessory6”. The current HomePod mini is labeled “AudioAccessory5” and the original HomePod is “AudioAccessory1”.
