How to get Android 2.3 Gingerbread Launcher on Android 2.2 Phones

Android 2.3 ‘Gingerbread’ was somewhat quietly announced yesterday (in case you missed it, read this to find out all you need to know about it.) While it’s a relatively minor upgrade, it does sport a slightly improved look which a lot of Android 2.2 users now envy. So unless they get Android 2.3 ROMS for their handsets, there are a few alternatives to give you the Gingerbread look and feel on your device. First up, the Gingerbread Launcher with a cool fade effect and greenish icons.

Maybe it’s just me, but this launcher seems faster than the default Android 2.2 ( and also the bloated Samsung Galaxy S TouchWiz ) launchers. Let us know your experience with it.
