iOS 17 introduces a new Live Voicemail that shows transcription of the voicemail in real-time.
As the feature allows users to see the transcription of the message as it is being recorded, they can decide to answer a call if it is very important. Live Voicemail transcription is done on-device and remains private.
Users don’t even have to worry about receiving spam calls because the calls identified as spam by the carrier will be declined and will not appear as Live Voicemail. In addition, Live Voicemail also features a block button to take care of the spam calls which make it through.
iOS 17 will be available on compatible devices in Fall. As iOS 17 is currently in beta, we were able to set up and test the new Live Voicemail feature. Here is how you will be able to turn on Live Voicemail on your devices when it will out later this year.
