Hyper is a video app for iOS which offers you a place to download, save and watch 10 web videos daily, of your preference. The app also automatically downloads the day’s latest videos so you can watch them offline.
Hyper provides a fast interface to enjoy viewing hand-picked, high-definition videos of your liking without having to search for them. You do not have to worry about connectivity issues since the videos are pre-loaded on you iPhone, it cuts down the time consumed in downloading them. The app is a solution to constant buffering, video downloading and connectivity issues.
Automated offline video viewing is only available for iPhone and not other iOS devices yet. The developer is working on bringing offline functionality to iPad.
The collection of videos is pretty good and make for some good viewing. The high definition videos are handpicked by filmmakers and are a joy to watch on a beautiful screen like that of the iPad.
In the newest update, version 2.0, new features include a pre-selected playlist, a ‘watch later’ list, a preview of the videos through 3-D Touch, Spotlight search, and the aforementioned automated offline viewing. Custom playlist and onboarding in weak network areas have also been improved.
The app is available for free on the App Store. Hyper requires at least iOS 9.0 and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app with its gorgeous interface is also available on Apple TV.
