Recently, Apple seeded iOS 15.2 beta to developers, after the public rollout of the iOS 15.1 update. The new beta update features a redesigned ‘Notification Summary’ on the lock screen of iPhone and iPad.
Notification Summary feature was released in iOS 15, along with other changes to notifications. The feature allows users to schedule a summary of notifications from their selected app daily, so, they can go through them at their convenience. Apple says, “the summary is personalized to you and ordered by priority based on how you use your apps, with the most relevant notifications at the top.”
Redesigned Notification Summary gets new floating cards and more on iOS 15.2 beta
Apple has tweaked the design of the Notification Summary feature with new floating cards in the color of the app icon. Upon expanding the card, all notifications are displayed within the main card. In the current iOS 15 and iOS 15.1 versions, notifications are displayed separately.
How to schedule a Notification Summar on iPhone or iPad
Users must make sure that their iPhones or iPads are updated to the latest version of the iOS 15 update to enjoy the new feature. For Notification Summary, users can prioritize apps to see their notification first or last, and they cal also schedule the time of the day to receive their summaries like morning, afternoon, or evening. Follow these steps to enable Notification Summary:
- Open the Settings app > Notifications > enable the ‘Scheduled Summary’ toggle
- Navigate to Apps in Summary option to select the apps you want to include in the Notifications Summary.
- To schedule the time to receive Summary, tap on the add icon under the Schedule option and adjust the time for each summary. And to remove a summary, tap on ‘-‘ button.
