Apple adds support for PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controller in iOS 16.4

In the new iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, macOS 13.3, and tvOS 16.4 updates, Apple has added support for Sony’s latest PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge wireless controller.

Gaming has improved drastically on the latest Apple devices with advanced A-series and M-series chips in the latest iPhone and Mac models and faster 5G speeds. Console-level games can be enjoyed on iPhone 14, Apple Silicon Macs, and iPad models like iPad Pro (2022), iPad mini 6, iPad Air, and others.

Apple Arcade also offers a variety of classic and modern games across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Thus, support for third-party wireless controllers further enhances that gaming experience across Apple devices.

iOS 16.4 is now compatible with Sony’s first-ever “ultra-customizable” controller, PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge

Previously, Apple introduced support for PlayStation 5 DualSense in iOS 14.5. Now, iOS 16.4 brings compatibility with the new DualSense Edge wireless controller.

Sony launched the new PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge in January 2023 worldwide. It is the company’s first-ever ultra-customizable controller which enables users to personalize controls to their playstyle and enjoy a “unique” gaming experience.
