In late April, the Cupertino tech giant seeded iOS 16.5 beta 4 to developers and beta testers. A private Twitter account claims that iOS 16.5 will be released to the public next week. The same Twitter handle accurately shared the build numbers of a few iOS updates prior to their official release.

iOS 16.5 to introduce screen recording with Siri and Sports section in the Apple News app
Historically, Apple releases the Release Candidate of a software update as the last build before its public release. The latest tweet from the Twitter handle, according to MacRumors, said that the build number of iOS 16.5 Release Candidate is 20F65 which is expected to release in the coming days.
Since late March, the upcoming iOS 16.5 update has been in beta testing and it appears to be a minor update. So far only two new features are discovered in the update’s code.
Currently, iOS users start screen recording through the Control Center which involves a few steps like swiping down from the screen and tapping on the screen recording button to start recording. Similarly, users need to tap on the screen recording icon on top of the UI to stop screen recording.
With Siri support, users will be able to quickly start and stop screen recording using their voice.
Furthermore, a separate Sports tab in the Apple News app will allow users to easily access all of their sports content in one place like scores and schedules of readers’ favorite teams. It will also allow them to view and manage subscriptions to premium sports publishers.
