Apple released iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1 on Monday, October 24 with several new features like iCloud Shared Photo Library, Live Activities, Clean Energy Charging, support for Matter in the Home app, and more, along with multiple bug fixes such as Dynamic Island content not available when using Reachability, CarPlay failing to connect when using a VPN app and others.
However, there are still more features expected to launch later this year which were announced at the WWDC 2022. We have listed five features on iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 planned for the late 2022 release.

External Display support on iPadOS will enable users to connect their iPads to an external monitor to improve their multitasking experience. As part of the now available Stage Manager, the feature was not released in the latest iPadOS 16.1. It is likely to be included in iPadOS 16.2.
SharePlay support for Game Center on iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will let users enjoy their favorite games with their family and friends remotely.
Games that use Game Center multiplayer support have SharePlay integration. You can start playing automatically with friends on a FaceTime call.
Emergency SOS via Satellite on iPhone 14 lineup will launch in November. The upcoming safety feature will allow users to contact emergency services via satellite. However, it will only be available in the United States and Canada at launch.
New Apple Music Classical app is expected to launch as its references were found in iOS 16 code. The tech giant acquired Primephonic, a classical music streaming service in 2021 and the company announced that it will introduce its dedicated app.
