iOS 16 and iOS 15.7 users have been reporting an App Store terms and conditions bug that is stopping users from downloading or updating apps. When the App Store is being opened after updating to either of these operating systems, users face an undefined error, which tells them to try again later. Apple’s System Status page does not show any issue though.

If you see the below error when you try to accept the new terms and conditions that show after opening the App Store, you are not alone.
“There was an error. Please try later.”
At the time of writing, it is unclear why users are facing this issue, but a possibility is that the influx of users who have updated to iOS 16 and iOS 15.7 may have caused server load problems. Since Apple rolls out its iOS updates at the same time to all its users around the globe, there is heavy traffic on Apple’s servers. Usually, the company’s servers are prepared for such releases, but this year, the updates may have attracted more users to update right away. After all, who does not want a customizable lock screen?
As of now, there is no workaround or solution to this issue. Even iPad and macOS users are reportedly facing this bug. Our recommendation is to wait it out and try again later when the traffic falls off. It may be possible that it starts working intermittently in between
