Apple has rolled out iOS 18.4 beta 2 to developers, bringing significant updates, including expanded Apple Intelligence support, a new Apple Vision Pro app, and Visual Intelligence for older iPhone models. The update is expected to be finalized by early April, with a public release shortly after.
Visual Intelligence expands to iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max
One of the most notable additions in iOS 18.4 beta 2 is Visual Intelligence, a feature previously exclusive to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. Now available on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, users can access Visual Intelligence via the Action Button or Control Center. This feature allows users to analyze objects, businesses, posters, and more using their camera, with options to search for information or ask AI-powered questions.
Apple Intelligence gains support for more languages
Apple is expanding Apple Intelligence to include support for new languages:
- French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese
- Localized English versions for Singapore and India
This marks a major step in making Apple’s AI-powered features more accessible to users worldwide.

What’s next?
While Apple Intelligence features continue to roll out, major Siri upgrades—such as on-screen awareness and personal context—have been delayed to iOS 18.5. However, Apple is expected to introduce additional AI-powered capabilities in future beta updates.
iOS 18.4 beta 2 is available for registered developers, with a public beta expected soon. The final release is on track for early April, bringing significant improvements to Apple’s AI ecosystem.
