The developer of Fjorden, Florian Bürger has found that Apple has added the option to disable notifications for Shortcuts automation in iOS 15.4 beta.
Shortcuts app allows iPhone and iPad users to create their personal shortcuts to quickly access your workout playlist, weather reports, and more. Furthermore, users can also set up personal and home automations to run tasks automatically. For example, to turn on lights at 5 p.m., play your favorite track when users arrive at home, send an alert when the phone’s battery reaches 10%.
But the app sends automation notifications by default, without the option to turn them off, which can be annoying, especially during a video call, or reading time on the iPad.
Shortcuts app’s automation will be faster and seamless on iOS 15.4
In the “Edit Automation” section, a new “Notify When Run” option appears on iOS 15.4 beta. Simply disable the feature, to not receive Shortcuts automation notifications. But, users will have to manually turn off notifications for each automation.
In addition to adding the option to disabling the annoying Shortcuts automation notifications, Bürger says that the change has to lead to performance improvement. Access to Shortcuts automation is “supper quick and almost seamless” on iOS 15.4 beta.
