The report reveals that the new tablet would be powered by an A14 Bionic chip, better speakers, a larger display, and more. Recently, a leaker @Komiya claimed that Apple will ship the new mid-range iPad Air with Magic Keyboard compatibility and that the device will be released in March 2021.
The New iPad Air 4-Details and Price
MyDrive claims that the new tablet will be powered by an A14 Bionic chip like the upcoming iPhone 12. This advance processing chip is designed to boost performance by many times with Hexa cores up to 3.1 GHz and it scores the highest benchmarks scores when compared to other chips in the smartphone market. The current iPad Air series is powered by an A12 Bionic chip, thus, we can conclude that the new tablet will be much much faster than its predecessor.
Users can expect a larger 11-inch retina display on the upcoming iPad Air. Although the report does not mention whether Apple will increase the overall size of the tablet or just the screen, we are speculating that with smaller bezels Cupertino tech giant might just increase the size of the display like Apple Watch Series 4.
In addition, Apple is likely to upgrade the stereo speakers in the upcoming iPad Air 4 series. With amplified sound, the audio listening experience will be improved on iPad Air 4 to enjoy watching movies, listening to music, podcasts, and more. Other reports claim that the company will also improve speakers on the new iPhone 12 as well. According to the report, the new tablet series will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB storage variants and it will retail for $499.
