Gizmodo Japan spotted the listing on Amazon Japan of an Elecom glass screen protector for an all-screen 8.38-inch “small” iPad. The discovered tablet is presumed to be the upcoming iPad mini 6.
Rumor mills have claimed that the next-generation iPad mini might launch at the September 14 event, scheduled to go LIVE at 10:00 a.m., along with iPhone 13 series, Apple Watch Series 7, AirPods 3, and M1 MacBook Pro. But last minutes reports now state that the Cupertino tech giant will hold another event “several weeks” after today’s event to announce MacBook Pro and iPad models which will include iPad 9 and iPad mini 6. The new discovery corroborates that report.

The ad reveals a new iPad Pro-like design language, an 8.38-inch display, thinner bezels, and no Home Button. All the mentioned features are will major upgrades to the current iPad mini model which has a 7.9-inch display.
Earlier, a leaker shared images of the alleged new mini-tablet which resembles the one spotted in the listing but stated that it has an 8.6-inch display and volume buttons on the top of the device with the power button. Furthermore, the tablet will be powered by an A14 Bionic chip like the iPhone 12 series and not the A15 Bionic chip used on the upcoming iPhone 13 series. iPad mini 6 will feature a USB-C port, smart connector, and will be available in Space Gray, Silver, Rose Gold, Green, and Blue color and will retail for $399.
