Apple shares photos of happy customers at Orchard Road Apple Store in Singapore and of the company’s warehouses sending orders to owners waiting for their new devices.
“Customers arrived at Singapore’s Apple Orchard Road to buy the new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPad Air. The vast majority of Apple Store locations around the world are open and operating in various service models to protect the health and well-being of customers and employees.”
“At UPS Worldport in Louisville, Kentucky, UPS’s worldwide air hub, logistics specialists provided support for the global launch of iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPad Air.”
Apple has introduced this year’s products in a flat edge-to-edge to design like the iPad Pro (2020) and new color gradients: green and blue. The latest smartphone series supports 5G technology for an incredibly fast download and upload speed, OLED display, and new camera improvements.
Like the new iPhone 12 series, the latest fourth-generation iPad Air is powered by a custom A14 Bionic chip for faster processing and improved performance. It is also the first tablet to get a fingerprint sensor in the Power button. Although the company is shipping the new iPhones in a slimmer box without EarPods and power adaptors for environmental reasons, the new tablet comes with a 20W USB-C power plug.
For the next 24 hours, Apple will update the launch post with new images of customers in stores worldwide.
