Ahead of the iPhone 13 and Pro embargo expiring on September 21 and the series launch on September 24, YouTuber SalimBaba has shared the first unboxing video of the new iPhone 13 Pro Max in gold. The video confirms the new packing which eliminates plastic wrap for environmental reasons. Here are the details of the unboxing.
iPhone 13 Pro Max in Gold has a slight subtle chromatic finish with bold golden edges
@SalimBaba got to unbox the unreleased new iPhone 13 Pro Max obtained by a vendor in Dubai, UAE who has ordered the smartphones from Canada. The vendor has three iPhones which he is selling for a higher-price 7,600 dirhams ($2069 USD) than the original cost (starting at $1,099) for Apple enthusiasts.
As seen in the video, Apple is now using a packing seal instead of plastic wrap to reduce plastic waste. Before the announcement of the iPhone 13 series, the leaked images of the packing stickers re-confirmed the name of the 2021 iPhone series. Now, iPhone owners will have to peel the sticker off to open the box.
On opening the box, consumers will see the back with the new three-camera system and shiny back without any covering but the front glass has a peel. Inside the box are the usual documents, stickers, sim slot pin, and the charging cable. Last year, Apple removed the Earpods and power adaptors with iPhone 12 series to reduce e-waste. The company said that it will not only reduce more devices (adaptors) in the landfills but the slimmer box will allow the company to ship more units at once which will reduce carbon emission.
The packing of the new iPhone 13 Pro Max is the same as the iPhone 12 series, slimmer boxes. But what is noteworthy is the phone’s Gold finish. The Gold of iPhone 12 Pro was very light, almost a little white, but the Gold color tone of iPhone 13 Pro Max is impressive, the front and back are not loud but subtle greenish undertone and bold edges.
