As per new renders, iPhone 13 Pro is expected to be thicker than the current iPhone 12 Pro, and will also feature a larger camera module. The renders also show a smaller notch for iPhone 13 Pro, along with a triple camera setup on the back with the same layout as current models.
iPhone 13 Pro renders reveal new details
CAD renders shared by 91mobiles show that the new iPhone 13 Pro will have the same 6.1-inch display size but a slightly thicker body than current generation iPhone 12 Pro model. It also matches other rumors which say that it will have a smaller notch. Apple is reducing the size of the notch by moving the location of the earpiece above the sensors. However, the notch will still exist and be noticeable, until Apple manages to put Face ID under the display in 2023 iPhones. A few leaked iPhone 13 ‘film samples’ had also shown a smaller notch.
It is also speculated that iPhone 13 will have in-display fingerprint scanner, but it’s not something that these CAD renders show.
The camera module in the CAD renders is also ever so larger than the current iPhone 12 Pro models. Despite featuring the same layout for lens, LiDAR, and flash, it seems to occupy a larger area. This could meant that Apple might be going for bigger camera sensor, however, current rumors have only pointed towards an improved ultra-wide lens and nothing else.
On the other hand, recently leaked 3D renders of iPhone 13 showed a redesigned camera layout along with a smaller notch.
