New renders of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max have been leaked, giving us a closer look at some of the device’s features.
Latest iPhone 15 Pro Max CAD renders reveal potential design changes
One of the most noticeable differences is the slightly larger camera bump on the back of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. According to the leaker (@ShrimpApplePro), the camera bump measures 3.78mm, which is about 5% larger than the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s version. However, other leakers have suggested that the bump could be thinner.
In addition to the camera bump, the leaker also provided details about the phone’s rear flash and microphone diameter. The rear flash diameter is listed as 6.7mm, which is smaller than the 6.9mm of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, while the microphone diameter has been reduced from 1.15mm to 0.75mm. The Dynamic Island is said to be the same size as previous models.
Another interesting detail the leaker reveals is the inclusion of “weird objects” on top of the solid-state volume buttons. The objects are thought to be conductive padding that will be fused to phone cases to enable full gestures or action sensitivity. The same padding is reportedly included in the iPhone 15 and Plus models, meaning solid-state buttons may be included across the range.
While CAD drawings from accessory makers are often based on leaks and rumors and may not necessarily be accurate, they do give us a good idea of what to expect from Apple’s upcoming fall launch. It’s important to note that there’s no guarantee that the information provided by the leaker is correct, but it does give us an interesting glimpse into what the new iPhone models could look like.
Overall, the leaked renders of the iPhone 15 Pro Max suggest that Apple is continuing to innovate and make improvements to its flagship smartphone line. While the changes may seem small, they could have a big impact on the device’s performance and user experience. As always, we’ll have to wait for the official launch to see what Apple has in store for us.
