An alleged super high-end model, iPhone 15 Ultra has created much buzz. It is specualted that Apple will widen the gap not only between standard and pro models but also between pro models by replacing the 6.7-inch iPhone Pro Max model with a new premium highest-end iPhone 15 Ultra model this year.
However, Apple leaker @Majin Bu claims that Apple plans to launch both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Ultra, along with the iPhone 15 Pro.
iPhone 15 Ultra will feature higher storage, and advanced camera than the iPhone 15 Pro Max
According to the leaker, the upcoming iPhone 15 series will feature a 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, and two 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Ultra. Presumably, the lineup would also include a 6.1-inch iPhone 15 standard model.
To differentiate the two high-end models, Apple has allegedly upscaled the memory, storage, and camera in the Ultra model.
Model | RAM | Storage | Camera | Price |
iPhone 15 Ultra | 8GB | 2TB | Better than Pro Max | $100 higher than Pro Max |
iPhone 15 Pro Max | 6GB | 1TB | Fewer features than Ultra | Same as iPhone 14 Pro Max |
Having said that the leaker is also skeptical about the launch of iPhone 15 Pro Max and Ultra at the same it. It was added that the iPhone protective case manufacturers might have created confusion by using the names “iPhone 15 Pro Max” and “iPhone 15 Ultra” for the same 6.7-inch high-end model.
Previously, it has been reported that Apple would feature a titanium design, 8GB of RAM, and a periscope camera lens for improved zoom in the upcoming highest-end model which might cost more than the current iPhone 14 Pro Max.
But they have been swinging between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Ultra to pin down which model the aforementioned advanced feature would debut in.
Luckily, we are only a few days away from finding out for sure. Apple’s iPhone 15 launch event, Wonderlust will be hosted on September 12.
