Apple’s upcoming “It’s Glowtime” event on September 9 has generated a lot of anticipation, with the iPhone 16 Pro at the forefront of the rumor mill.
Among the various reports, the addition of a gold-colored titanium finish has sparked significant interest. While the exact shade of this gold has been the subject of much debate, recent leaks have started to offer a clearer picture of what to expect from the upcoming flagship.
The latest mockup, shared by a source known for accurately predicting the iPhone 15 Pro’s natural gray titanium color, reveals a refined gold tone for the iPhone 16 Pro. This new finish is expected to replace the Blue Titanium shade that was introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro. Despite earlier speculation that the new color might range from a bronze-like hue to a darker brown reminiscent of the Microsoft Zune, the latest depiction suggests a subtler, more muted gold. This has led to discussions about whether this shade will live up to expectations or if a darker gold would have been more appealing.
The iPhone 16 Pro’s gold titanium finish is not the only change on the horizon. The mockup also hints at a new design feature: a cutout near the sleep/wake button, which is believed to accommodate a new capture button. This button is rumored to provide easier access to the Camera app, potentially allowing users to quickly snap photos or adjust zoom levels with a simple press or slide.
