As part of Apple’s Independent Repair Provider Program, the company has added over 140 new iPhone repair locations for users in the United States. This inclusion of new locations provides more choices to users to get their out-of-warranty iPhones repaired from a service provider near them.
All the registered repair service providers are given free training from Apple to carefully fix smartphone issues so that the devices stay in customers’ use for a longer time. The company supplies genuine parts, tools other repair related paraphernalia to the service providers. The iPhone repair providers also are also taught to carry diagnostics like at the Apple Stores and by Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASPs).
In 2019, the tech giant launched the ‘Independent Repair Provider Program’ for companies to register with Apple as a repair service provider and get the necessary training to expertly fix damaged smartphones. Now, there are over 700 independent repair provider locations in the country.
