In the first original Beta of iOS 5, there were no references to a new iPod Touch. Today however, developers have found a reference in the “com.app.fairplayd.N81.plist”. this means that Apple may be sticking to their refresh cycle and releasing a new iPod Touch come September.
There have not been many rumors as to a new hardware design for the iPod Touch, so changes will likely be internal. I will probably get an upgraded CPU, to follow along with the new iPhone 5, and will hopefully get a camera upgrade, that is desperately needed. For anyone who owns an iPod Touch currently, you know how terrible that camera can be.
