The wait is over for Verizon iPhone 4 jailbreakers and now they can also join the untethered jailbreak fun on iOS 4.2.7 using ion1c’s untethered exploit which has already been implemented in latest redsn0w, PwnageTool and previous sn0wbreeze updates to jailbreak iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3G/3GS, original iPad and iPod touch 3G/4G on iOS 4.3.2 untethered. Props to iH8sn0w for sn0wbreeze 2.6.1 update bringing full untethered support for CDMA iPhone 4 running jailbroken iOS 4.2.7.
Here is how to get the untethered exploit working on Verizon 4.2.7 iPhone 4.
First of all, jailbreak your Verizon iPhone 4 with sn0wbreeze 2.6.1 (download here) following our guide posted here. Then follow these steps:
Step 1:
Open up Cydia and add the following repo:
http://cydia.pushfix.info
Step 2:
Now search and Install Cydia Package “Verizon Untether for 4.2.7″.
Step 3:
Reboot and enjoy untethered jailbreak on your Verizon iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.7!
*NOTE: If you’r a Mac user, first use latest redsn0w to jailbreak your Verizon iPhone 4 (using this guide) on iOS 4.2.7 (by pointing it to iOS 4.2.6) and then use the above Cydia package to make it untethered.
