JBL’s Live 3 earbuds series introduces a revolutionary Smart Charging Case with a 1.45-inch LED touch display, providing users with convenient control over various features without the need for a smartphone app. The three models also offer a diverse range of designs to cater to different user preferences.
The Smart Charging Case technology, previously seen in JBL’s Tour Pro 2, allows users to interact with their earbuds, adjusting volume and toggling Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) via the intuitive touchscreen display. The case also introduces a unique Ear Canal Test, ensuring a personalized listening experience tailored to individual ear shapes.
Distinctive designs and features
- Live Buds 3: Classic bud-style headphones with an ergonomic fit, providing 10 hours of playtime with ANC off and an additional 30 hours of charge from the case. IP55 water resistance, 10mm dynamic drivers, and support for Hi-Res Audio make them a versatile choice.
- Live Beam 3: Closed-type stick earbuds, resembling AirPods Pro, offer 12 hours of playtime with ANC off and an extra 36 hours of charge from the case. The noise-isolating design ensures an immersive audio experience, and they come in black or silver.
- Live Flex 3: Open-type stick earbuds with a design akin to Apple’s AirPods 3, providing 10 hours of playtime with ANC off and an additional 40 hours of charge from the case. While offering a more open audio experience, they are IP54-rated for water and dust resistance.

Pricing and availability
All three Live 3 models will be available for $199.95 starting this summer. JBL plans to enhance the earbuds further with an over-the-air update, introducing Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio functionality after the initial launch.
