New leaks by @Dylan share details of the new MacBook Air. He claims that the next-generation model will be powered by the advanced M2 Apple Silicon, will have the 2021 MacBook Pro like design, no fan, and more. It is expected to launch by mid-2022 with a slighter higher price and a new “MacBook” name.
In 2020, Apple launched 13-inch MacBook Air with the first-generation M1 chip. The notebook has received excellent reviews because of its fast performance and incredible battery life which outshine Intel-based MacBook and third-party laptop models.
The display of the 2022 MacBook Air will have white bezels like the 24-inch iMac (2020)
As per the leaker, the next-generation MacBook Air will have a larger display with thinner bezels like the new MacBook Pro models but will be lighter and thinner. Apple will introduce a mini-LED display and like the 2020 iMac, its bezels, and keyboard will be off-white. The upgraded laptop will feature an upgraded 1080p webcam, USB-C port and will be available in multiple color options like the 24-inch M1 iMac.
Apple is continuing with the same fanless design in the new model as well. But surprisingly Dylan reports that the new Air model will come with a 30W USB-C power adaptor, the current 13-inch M1 MacBook comes with a 61W USB-C power adapter. It will also support MagSafe charging. Most of the claimed features are reported before and corroborated by other sources.
Interestingly, the leaker is not certain if the 2022 MacBook Air will have a notch but is certain that Apple will not introduce 120Hz Promotion tech, Face ID authentication, SD card, HDMI port, and tapered design. The Chinese leaker who accurately reported the notch on 2021 MacBook Pro models also claimed that the new Air notebook will come with a notch.
