Today, Apple unveiled the new MacBook Pro powered by two next-generation M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models deliver “groundbreaking” processing, graphics, and machine learning (ML) performance with even battery life than M1 powered MacBook Pro (2020) and much more. We have listed down everything you need to know about the camera and audio systems of the new MacBook Pro.
Powered by M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, the new MacBook Pro offers the best camera and audio experience ever in a MacBook
For the first time, the new Mac notebook is equipped with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, “doubling resolution and low-light performance”. Using the power of M1 Pro and M1 Max chips’ image signal processor (ISP) and Neural Engine for computational video, the new camera system delivers enhanced video quality with sharper and more natural-looking skin tones.
The new HiFi six-speaker sound system in the new MacBook Pro delivers a next-level audio experience with a clearer soundstage and 80% more base. The new notebook is equipped with new studio-quality mics to lower the noise floor for clearer FaceTime calls and video recordings.
Furthermore, the new sound system supports spatial audio with Dolby Atmos for an immersive surround sound experience. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing describes the new notebook as;
“We set out to create the world’s best pro notebook, and today we’re excited to introduce the all-new MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max — a game-changing combination of phenomenal performance, unrivaled battery life, and groundbreaking features. The all-new MacBook Pro adds a breathtaking XDR display, more ports like MagSafe 3, an advanced 1080p camera, and a sensational six-speaker sound system, all in a stunning new design. The new MacBook Pro simply has no equal and is by far the best pro notebook we’ve ever built.”
