macOS 15.4 beta 4 released with expanded Apple Intelligence, new emojis, and Mail upgrades

Apple has just released macOS Sequoia 15.4 beta 4 for developers. Arriving a week after the previous beta, this new build, which is now also available as a public beta, primarily focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements, hinting that the upcoming public launch is just weeks away.

This beta update is packed with notable changes that signal a significant step forward for macOS. One of the headline features is the all-new Mail experience, which introduces on-device categorization to help users effortlessly sort incoming emails into Primary, Transactions, Updates, and Promotions. Alongside this, the update brings a suite of new Apple Intelligence enhancements that now support multiple languages including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and localized English for Singapore and India. These refinements are complemented by the addition of seven new emojis and the Genmoji feature, which has been tweaked to improve discoverability on Apple’s platforms.

Beyond macOS, Apple is rolling out its fourth round of beta updates across its entire ecosystem. iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, tvOS 18.4, watchOS 11.4, and visionOS 2.4 are also in beta, each featuring build improvements and new functionalities. Early builds in these releases have already introduced changes such as enhanced Apple Intelligence, a redesigned Wallet app, and subtle animations that refine the user interface experience on the iPhone, including adjustments to the Dynamic Island and notification animations.

As Apple narrows the window for feature changes before the anticipated public launch in early April, developers and tech enthusiasts are encouraged to download the latest beta through System Settings to test these new features on secondary devices.

The build for macOS Sequoia 15.4, now marked as 24E5238a, stands as a testament to Apple’s iterative approach, continuously fine-tuning the operating system while ensuring that each component.
