macOS Big Sur 11.6.4 released with security fixes

Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.6.4 for all users who are still running the older operating system. The software update features undisclosed security fixes.

As per Apple, this update only features security fixes and no other updates. The company has not disclosed details of the security fixes included in this release.

This update is recommended for all users and improves the security of macOS.

macOS Catalina Security Update Security Update 2022-002 was also released today.

Apple had released Safari 15.3 for macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina a few days ago, with a security patch for a WebKit issue that may have been actively exploited.

macOS Big Sur, as well as macOS Catalina, are not supported anymore with new features, however, Apple continues to provide security updates for these older operating systems. Apple is actively supporting macOS Monterey with new features and updates.

How to upgrade to macOS Big Sur 11.6.4?
