Marvel and Kabam announced last year in October during the New York Comic Con that both the developers are going to be working on a new project called Marvel Realm of Champions.
Both the developers have shown that they have a healthy working relationship as shown in the past with Marvel Contest of Champions. The new game features a huge number of Marvel characters, and instead of fighting 1-on-1, the game features MOBA-style team battles.
Marvel and Kabam release Marvel Realm of Champions
Marvel Realm of Champions will give a refreshed image of the Marvel Universe that is set on Battleworld, a prohibited planet hidden behind the space-time barrier recently disturbed by the death of Maestro, aka the God-King.
The game is free-to-play and it involves the concept of users aligning themselves with one of the different Houses in the game. After that, players can team up with fellow Home members for an epic battle for supremacy. The game was initially meant to come out on December 18th, but it has come out 1 day earlier which means that players can seize this opportunity to secure their desired characters, and take time to decide which House they want to be a part of.
According to the official Marvel website, players can expect a visually stunning Marvel Realm of Champions experience, epic multiplayer brawls, always on and revolving characters, a new immersive Marvel-inspired world, and customizable Marvel characters.
Players will fight in eight beautifully rendered Marvel-inspired Battle Arenas, in four intense game modes. These particular modes provide a mixture of cooperative team-ups. Arena Deathmatch (2v2v2), and Arena Conquest (3v3) are intense real-time player vs player competitive modes. Additionally, Stronghold & Onslaught is a mode that revolves around a team of three who will defend the given ISO-Core while going against waves of enemy Adaptiods and corrupted Champion bosses, whose difficulty will increase as the team makes progress.
Apart from the intense multiplayer action, players can form and join player-run Alliances and can get awards for logging in daily. Marvel Realm of Champions is available on both Android Google Play Store and iOS App Store. There is also a trailer of the gameplay that you can watch below.
