According to a report published by LA Times, Microsoft seems to be highly interested in buying out Hulu, the US exclusive video-on-demand streaming service. Other interested buyers include Yahoo and Google but Microsoft’s recent talks with the company have seemingly made it the most potential buyer of them all.
Microsoft already has an on going deal with Hulu for it’s Xbox 360 game console in the form of Hulu Plus subscription service which is free for a month for all new Xbox 360 Live Gold members in the United States. Not just that, viewers are able to watch and resume their movies and TV shows across their Windows PCs and even smartphones using the same Hulu+ subscription. If the above rumor of Microsoft’s Hulu acquisition turns out to be true, it would pretty much explain the wide interest of investors in buying Microsoft stocks recently.
