Need for Speed Payback trailer, features and release date revealed

Need for Speed Payback trailer was released a few days ago by EA. The game is being developed by Ghost Games and will be available for PlayStation, Xbox One and PC. It is the twenty-third installment in the Need for Speed franchise and will be released on November 10th of 2017.

Need for Speed Payback

People were left disappointed after playing the last Need for Speed installment released in 2015. Even Need for Speed No Limits for smartphones was not well received. By the looks of the trailer for Need for Speed Payback, the expectations and hopes are very high. The trailer tells a whole new story that has never been part of this game series before.

Need for Speed Payback

In NFS Payback, Tyler, the main character, will have to assemble a crew to put up a fight against The House, a cartel in control of Fortune Valley’s cops and crime world.

NFS Payback trailer gives ‘The Fast and Furious’ vibes

Looking at the trailer, one can clearly see The Fast and the Furious and GTA V vibes in it. There will be five classes of cars in Payback: Race, Drift, Off-Road, Drag and Runner. Alongside the races, events and stunts that are always there in a Need for Speed franchise, Payback will also have heist missions like GTA V. Cops chases will include helicopters and rhinos which would make for some interesting heist missions.

The game’s bigger focus will be on customization and modification of cars to complete goals. With five classes of cars, it will important to select and customize the right car for the right mission. It has also been confirmed that there will be scattered cars around Fortune Valley waiting to be re-modeled, customized and ready to be put on the streets. The new 2017 BMW M5 also makes an appearance in the trailer. The car is not meant to debut until the Frankfurt Motor Show in September but its first look has been released in Payback.

If you pre-order the game, there will be additional bonuses and perks available. A Platinum Car Pack with five uniquely customized and tuned cars including the Nissan 350Z, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Ford F-150 Raptor, Dodge Charger R/T and the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport, will be available for regular pre-orders. Deluxe Edition pre-orders will receive exclusive NOS color, license plate, leaderboard icon, story mission pack among other things.

Need for Speed Payback will be available for purchase via Origin. Expect gameplay videos and more details at E3 this month.

EA Access and Origin Access members with Play First Trial will be able to play the game starting 2nd November. Deluxe Edition buyers will get access on 7th November while Standard Edition buyers will get their hands on the game on 10th November.
