Apple has made it easier to apply for a new Apple Card. Now, customers can apply for Apple Card through the web. The new application feature was released a week after the launch of the new web portal for Apple Card. Currently, the service is only available in the United States.
In August 2019, the Cupertino tech giant launched its Apple Card in partnership with Goldman Sachs with Apple Pay integration. After approval, the card number is added in the Wallet app which can be used to make electronic payments via iPhone or Apple Watch.
New Apple Card Application Web Portal
The new application web portal marks the expansion of the company’s credit card from the Wallet app on the iPhone. Previously, iPhone users applied for Apple Card directly from the Wallet app. Using their Apple ID, users can check if they are approved in as little as a minute with no impact to their credit score. The company advises the card owners that:
“To access and use all the features of Apple Card, you must add Apple Card to Wallet on an iPhone or iPad with iOS 12.4 or later or iPadOS. This will also allow you to manage your Apple Card on your device and make purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Otherwise, you will only be able to use your Apple Line of Credit for certain eligible purchases online and in-store at Apple.
To manage Apple Card Monthly Installments, you need an iPhone with iOS 13.2 or later or an iPad with iPadOS 13.2 or later. Update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap Download and Install.”
Previously, a dedicated web portal for Apple Card payments was launched in July. The web service lets card owners make online payments and manage their accounts on PC and laptops. Prior to the launch of the online dashboard, accounts were managed via Wallet in iPhone and iPad only.

Card owners can also purchase a range of Apple products for pocket-friendly monthly installments up to 12 months.
