I mean c’mon! HD video recording is becoming a necessity in these times. Some hints have surfaced that HD video recording might be implemented on the next iPhone.
Remember our post about the iPhone 3.2 SDK revealing stuff, such as the “N89” codename, the MediaValidator.plist file reveals all. It reveals several stats: the maximum width is now 1280 pixels, instead of 768, and the maximum number of pixels per frame is now up to 921,600, resulting in a 1280 x 720 resolution. The device’s AVC profile has been bumped to 3.1, which adds support for 720p. Seems like HD video recording is really coming to the next iPhone. We can only hope!
