The Deadline reports the star of Unfaithful movie, Olivier Martinez has joined Maya Rudolph in her upcoming comedy series on Apple TV+. The still-untitled comedy series, will be created, written and executive produced by Yang and Hubbard. It will also be executive produced through Rudolph’s production company, Animal Pictures, and Dave Becky of 3 Arts. A division of Universal Studio Group, Universal Television will be the studio.
Olivier Martinez to play a romantic billionaire in Apple TV+ upcoming comedy series starring Maya Rudolph
The upcoming series is based on the life of a woman Molly played by Rudolph who inherits 87 billion dollars from her husband after his death. Martinez will join the show as Jean Pierre, a handsome romantic billionaire. The report states:
Martinez will play Jean Pierre, a handsome, charismatic, romantic billionaire. Jean-Pierre comes from a philanthropic, old money family in France and wants his family’s charitable foundation to collaborate with Molly. Although he intends to keep it strictly business, there is an undeniable connection between Jean-Pierre and Molly. MJ Rodriguez also stars.
As life is coming back to pre-COVID-19 normal, the production of the new comedy series might begin soon. Martinez is known for his role in the sensual movie on infidelity “Unfaithful” and other known roles in P5: L’ile aux Pachydermes, The Horseman on the Roof, and Before Night Falls.
Maya Rudolph comedy series will join other comedy titles on Apple TV+ like “Ted Lasso” by Jason Sudeikis, “The Big Door Prize” by David West Read, “Schmigadoon” starring Emmy Award nominee Cecily Strong and Emmy Award winner Keegan-Michael Key, “Trying” and another upcoming sci-fi comedy series by Ben Stiller.
Last week, Tom Hanks’ new drama movie ‘Finch‘ premiered on Apple TV+ which had the biggest opening weekend ever for an Apple original film.
