Pokémon Sleep app created by Niantic and The Pokémon Company keeps track of users’ sleep and rewards them with Pokémon based on the quality of their rest.
The app will be available for Android and iOS devices on July 17, 2023, in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Latin American countries for Android and iOS.
Pokémon Sleep tracks your sleep and rewards you with an adorable creature
The Pokémon Sleep app utilizes the iOS or Android smartphone’s accelerometer and gyroscope to monitor the user’s sleeping patterns. The longer the user sleeps, the better their score will be when they wake up, and the more Pokémon they can expect to find around Snorlax.
Playing Pokémon Sleep is easy. Simply place your smartphone next to your bed before going to sleep. The app will track your sleep using the smartphone’s accelerometer and gyroscope.
Your score in the morning will be higher if you sleep longer, and you’ll see more Pokémon around Snorlax.
Users’ nights of sleep will be categorized into three sleep stages: dozing, snoozing, or slumbering. In the morning, you may notice that Pokémon who sleep in similar ways will gather around Snorlax. Additionally, you might even come across a Pokémon sleeping in a rare style that you don’t typically see. Each Pokémon has a number of different sleep styles, so see how many you can discover to complete your sleep style dex.
The Pokémon Sleep app also includes a helpful feature called “Sleep Goals”. These are challenges that the user can set for themselves, like getting a specific amount of sleep each night or sleeping at a certain time. Whenever the user successfully completes a Sleep Goal, they will receive Poké Balls as a reward. These Poké Balls can then be used to catch Pokémon within the app.
Users can also use the Pokémon GO Plus+ accessory to track their sleep with Pokémon Sleep. The Pokémon GO Plus+ will vibrate when users are in a deep sleep, and it will also wake users up in the morning with a gentle vibration.
