Resident Evil Village for iPhone and iPad is scheduled to release on October 30, 2023, just one day before Halloween. This is a fitting release date for a horror game, and it will give players a chance to experience the scares of Resident Evil Village on the go.
Resident Evil Village is a 2021 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is the sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the eighth major entry in the Resident Evil series.
Resident Evil Village for iPhone 15 Pro and iPad will be optimized for mobile devices with touchscreen support and more
During the Tokyo Game Show 2023, Capcom announced that Resident Evil Village will be released for iPhone 15 Pro and iPad on October 30, 2023. The iPhone 15 Pro chip is powered by the A17 Pro, which is Apple’s first chip built on the new 3-nanometer process.
The A17 Pro chip is the first iPhone chip to feature a 6-core GPU. It is expected to be so powerful that it will be able to run console-quality games on the iPhone 15 Pro.
The game features a mix of survival horror and action gameplay, with players exploring the village and other areas, solving puzzles, fighting enemies, and managing their inventory. Resident Evil Village also introduces a number of new enemies and bosses, including the towering Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters.
The game will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad Air, and iPad Pro with the M1 chip or later. It will also support on-screen controls, game controllers, multi-touch, HDR, and cross-progression on iPadOS and iOS only.
Cloud Gaming Technology is developing the iPhone port of Resident Evil Village, and it will feature a number of optimizations for mobile devices, such as touchscreen controls, game controller support, and multi-touch.
Capcom will also release Resident Evil 4 Remake on iPhone 15 Pro and iPad with Apple Silicon this year
Additionally, Capcom is also releasing a port of Resident Evil 4 Remake for iPhone 15 Pro and Apple Silicon iPad. This game can be pre-ordered on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is scheduled to be released on December 31, 2023.
To pre-order the game on the App Store, simply go to the game’s page and tap the “Pre-Order” button. Users will be charged the full price of the game when they pre-order it, but they will not be able to play it until the release date. The game is priced at $59.99, with the extra DLC pack (to upgrade to Deluxe) costing $19.99.
The Resident Evil 4 remake for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS requires iOS 17 and later with an A17 Pro chip or later on iPhone (just iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max right now), iPadOS 17 with an M1 chip or later on the iPad, and macOS 13.0 with an M1 chip or later on the Mac side.
I am excited to see Resident Evil Village released on mobile devices, as it will make it accessible to a wider audience and remove the mobility confinement associated with the console gaming experience.
