Won’t it be awesome if you could download your online playlists instead of requiring an internet connection to listen to them? Well now you can. The Rhapsody app update is here and, as promised, it allows users to download their playlists. Version 2.0 of the app was released today and enables subscribers to listen to their favourite tracks on Rhapsody without an internet connection. You can download unlimited playlists and play them back anywhere.
All you have to do is open your playlist in the app and tap download, then you’re good to go. At the moment, subscribers can download playlists only, but Rhapsody promises that soon users can download individual tracks and albums directly from the albums page.
Android users will get a similar upgrade in the next few months while a Blackberry app is due to launch in the summer. The iPhone app is free to download.
