Apple Music has announced that Rihanna will perform at the NFL Super Bowl halftime show on February 12, 2023. A mega sports event that attracts millions of viewers and is one of the largest platforms for music artists.
In 2021, Pepsi confirmed it would not renew its sponsorship of the halftime show which ended a ten-year-long partnership with the NFL, and on September 2022, Apple Music announced that it will sponsor the event in 2023.
The New York Times reported that Apple Music will replace Pepsi as the 2023 sponsor of the Super Bowl halftime show. Allegedly, the deal is worth $50 million which materialized due to a stalemate in the multi-billion dollar negotiations between NFL and Apple to stream “Sunday Ticket” games on Apple TV+.
Earlier this year, Apple TV+ began live streaming the “Friday Night Baseball” 2022 season with exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes, and more.
