Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone 14 series at the upcoming September 7 “Far Out” event. And ahead of the next-generation iPhone series, Samsung has released a new troll ad that mocks the iPhone 14 for don’t offer innovative features like a high-quality camera, and a foldable model.
Although Samsung Display manufactures OLED screen panels for iPhones, its Samsung Electronics division is Apple’s arch rival in the smartphone and tablet markets. And since the removal of the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 in 2016, the South Korean manufacturer has been mocking Apple very directly in various campaigns.
Samsung tells iPhone 14 buyers to “Buckle Up” because it won’t offer camera and innovation like Galaxy S22 Ultra & Z Flip4
Touting the foldable design of Galaxy Z Flip4 and camera quality of Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung warns the potential iPhone 14 buyers to “Buckle Up” in the new ad because all those innovative features will not be available on the upcoming iPhone series.
So, subsequently, heads will not turn in their direction, the highest resolution camera on a smartphone will be in someone else’s pocket, the epic moon shot getting all the likes won’t be theirs, and Galaxy series innovation will not be coming soon to iPhone.
Personally, it seems premature for Samsung to make fun of a product that has not been launched yet and the company knows nothing about the innovation it will offer. And more importantly, is innovation only restricted to how the phone opens and the camera’s zoom?
So, this troll ad feels like a desperate attempt by Samsung to convince users that its smartphones are better than iPhone 14 which has not been released yet.
Previously, Samsung made fun of Apple for removing the headphone jack and the charger and EarPods from the iPhone box, and later it did the same. Galaxy S21 models do not come with a wall charger.
