Spotify has updated its Apple Watch app with new features and improvements to enhance users’ listening experience like a sleek design with larger artwork, swipe to like a song functionality, and more.
Spotify is a Swedish audio streaming service available in 184 markets. Over 456 million daily active users and over 190 million paid subscribers, make it one of the largest music streaming service providers in the world.
In 2020, the company added standalone streaming on Apple Watch, and in 2021, it introduced the ability to offline download the app so users can enjoy their favorite songs and podcasts without having to carry their iPhones.
Spotify on Apple Watch now offers an improved Library view, larger controls, and more
Spotify’s latest update on Apple Watch includes several user-focused features for them to easily navigate through the library, quickly download content, and more. Here is everything new on the app:
- Easily browse and choose your favorite music and podcasts in Your Library, as well as more quickly download music to listen offline from the watch itself.
- There’s also a new sleek design with larger artwork, animations, and added functionality—like swiping to like a song.
- It’s also super easy to spot new episodes marked with a blue dot, so you’ll never miss fresh episodes from your favorite creators.
Recently, the service also added audiobooks after a bit of a tug-of-war with Apple over the payment system. watchOS 9 broke down Spotify streaming on Apple Watch which was fixed on watchOS 9.0.2.
