The popular inspirational coach Ted Lasso and his AFC Richmond team are coming to FIFA 23 on September 30, 2022.
Directed and led by Jason Sudeikis, “Ted Lasso” is Apple TV+ award-winning comedy show in its second season and the third season is expected to launch his fall. Based on the journey of an American coach who moves to the UK to train a soccer team with prior experience, the show has captivated audiences worldwide with its message of positivity, teamwork, motivation, and biscuits.
Ted Lasso will be bringing the same optimism and AFC Richmond to FIFA 23 soon.
FIFA 23 to offer playable Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond
Greyhounds’ Nelson Road home stadium will also be featured in the game, along with the following coaches and players:

The AFC Richmond teams will be playable across FIFA 23 including Career Mode, Kick-Off, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons. Players will be able to select Ted Lasso as their playable manager in Career Mode and manage the AFC Richmond by swapping them into the Premier League or any other playable Career Mode league.
In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, players will get to show their love for AFC Richmond with a collection of customization items like authentic kits and TIFOs, find and select Ted Lasso or Coach Beard as their club’s manager. “All AFC Richmond content in FUT will be available through objectives and challenges.”
FIFA 23 is set to launch on September 30, 2022, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, and it is available for pre-order. The company states that if users pre-order by September 29, they will receive exclusive items like untradable Ones To Watch Player Item in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and more.
