After recently winning 3 Critics Choice Awards and a Golden Globe Award for Jason Sudeikis, the Apple TV+ hit comedy ‘Ted Lasso’ has been further nominated in more categories. The show has been nominated for the Producer’s Guild of America (PGA), and Director’s Guide of America (DGA).
The nominations for both the 32nd PGA Awards and 73rd annual DGA Awards were announced on Monday. Many Apple TV’s original contents can be found in various nominations and scored nominations as well.
Apple TV+ hit ‘Ted Lasso’ gets further nominated for awards at the PGA and DGA annual Awards.
In the Comedy category, the producers of ‘Ted Lasso’ won a PGA Award nomination in the Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television. Director MJ Delaney was nominated for her work on the episode “The Hope that Kills You.” Whereas, director Zach Braff who directed the episode called “Biscuits” won an Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series nomination.
Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine also received an Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary nomination for their work on ‘Boys State’. The producers for Wolfwalkers, an Apple film, were nominated for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures.
For the first season of Ted Lasso, the listed producers are Joe Kelly, Brendan Hunt, Kip Kroeger, Tina Pawlik, Jamie Lee, Liza Katzer, Bill Wrubel, Jane Becker, Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Ted Lasso himself Jason Sudeikis. The producers behind Wolfwalkers are Stephen Roelants, Nora Twomey, Tomm Moore, and Paul Young.
Season 2 of Ted Lasso is currently in the works and is expected to air on Apple TV+ in the summer. Apple has also ordered a third season of the series to be made available in the foreseeable future.
